SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Parkland College continues to win at the NJCAA Division II Softball World Series.
The Cobras claimed an 8-1 victory over Cecil College Wednesday. Parkland batters banged out 14 hits in the contest to advance in the elimination bracket.
Lucy Fearday, an Effingham St. Anthony High School graduate, tossed the victory. She allowed one run on three hits over five innings and struck out three. Lainey Klokkenga came on to finish out the last two innings allowing one hit.
Parkland will now advance to another elimination game today against State College of Florida. If the Cobras win, they will be back in action tonight.
