Dieterich village board members Monday approved allowing a 4th of July Celebration. Activities are planned for July 3rd and 4th at Liberty Park. The celebration will include a 4th of July parade. Lineup is at 10am in the Dieterich High School parking lot. The parade will step off at 11am.
This year’s theme is “Cheers to 250 Years”. The Board agreed to be a Gold Sponsor for this year’s celebration.
Board members got a progress report on the South Main Street improvement project, which stretches from the stoplight, south to Church Street. Approval has been received for asphalt shoulders along the street, rather than grass. Work is also underway to identify where paint striping is needed in the village, along with sump pumps related to sewer relining, and documenting properties with code violations.
The Board reviewed the final draft of an updated personnel policies and procedures handbook for the village with a vote to publish the handbook expected at the next Board meeting.
