SHELBYVILLE — Shelbyville was a winner in its own Boys Track Open Friday.
The Rams tallied 85 points followed by Mt. Zion 75, Villa Grove 60, Casey-Westfield 57, Piasa Southwestern 54, Teutopolis 52, Riverton 50, Pana 34, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 33, Arcola 27, Maryville Christian 26, Effingham St. Anthony 24, Niantic Sangamon Valley 24, Paris 24, Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 18, Altamont 15, Marshall 10, Warrensburg-Latham 10, Bethany Okaw Valley 9 and Patoka 2.
Effingham St. Anthony’s Camden Bloemer won the 1600 in 4:40.17 minutes followed by Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City’s August Cosart second in 4:42.57 and St. Anthony’s Oliver Kreke third in 4:43.35.
Teutopolis’ Karson Zerrusen won the 110 hurdles in 14.83 seconds and took third in the 300 hurdles in 40.90. T-town’s Austin Hepner finished third in the 100 in 11.62 seconds.
The Shoes’ Barrett Meyer won the shot with a heave of 14.18 meters. Brant Nierugge was second in the pole vault at 4.12 meters.
The Wooden Shoes’ 4×100 relay team finished third in 45.81 seconds. Team members were Hepner, Meyer, Brant Niebrugge and Isaiah Lee.
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg’s Ben Hille finished third in the triple jump at 11.79 meters while CHBC’s Porter Lilly was fourth in 11.50.
