 Louisville Resident Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash

An 18-year-old Louisville resident was injured in a single-vehicle crash late Tuesday night.

Effingham County Sheriff’s Office reports that 18-year-old Brent Shroyer was traveling southbound on US Highway 45 at 11:50pm when Shroyer fell asleep. Shroyer’s vehicle left the roadway to the left, struck an Ameren power pole, and continued traveling south until coming to rest.

Shroyer was taken by Rural Med EMS to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment. No citations were issued.

The crash happened a half-mile south of 650th Avenue, southeast of Watson.
