The Effingham observance of the 2026 National Day of Prayer is set for Wednesday, May 6.
A free breakfast event will take place at Keller Convention Center from 7:30 to 9am.
The theme is “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations.”
Music will be led by Steve Raymond and Greg Sapp. The guest speaker will be John Monnet, former Effingham County Sheriff and Effingham City Police Officer, who will discuss how God was with him through his years in law enforcement.
A free-will offering will be received, with proceeds benefiting Community Support Systems.
While admission is free, tickets are required for admission. The tickets are available at the studios of Classic Hits 979XFM and KJ Country 102.3 at Fayette and Willow and at the offices of Tom Henderson State Farm Insurance at 122 East Section Avenue.
