 Hearts Pick Up Another Tennis Victory, This One 6-1 Over Tornadoes

Effingham High School played host to Taylorville and claimed an 8-1 victory in tennis action Thursday.

The Hearts claimed five of the six singles contests. Andrew Kull was a winner at the No. 6 spot by a 6-3, 6-0 count.

Brady Wilson and Noah Jones blanked their opponents 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 and No. 4.

Joel Flack took the No. 2 victory, 6-1, 6-1 while Rece Kinney went three sets for the No. 1 win. He fell in the opener 6-1 but came back strong with 6-2, 10-0 tallies for the match.

In doubles play, Wilson and Flack combined to win 6-1, 6-3. N. Jones and Cole Jones worked together at No. 2 to hold their opponents scoreless, 6-0, 6-0.

Carson Jones and Nolan Dixon took the No. 3 spot, 6-1, 6-0.
