Claudine Rush, age 92, of Effingham, Illinois, passed away at 5:08 AM – Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at her home.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends from 2:00-5:00 PM – Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the First Christian Church, 901 North Henrietta Street, Effingham, Illinois.
Private burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery in Edgewood, Illinois.

Claudine Marie McManaway was born at 4 p.m. Friday, September 29, 1933, north of Mason, Illinois to Claude and Marie (Eveland) McManaway.
She married Kenneth Rush July 29, 1950, in Dieterich, Illinois. They were married 65 years until his death on January 22, 2016. Their three premature sons died at birth.
Claudine was employed in several places through the years including WCRA in Effingham and WJBD in Salem.She retired from World Color Press in 1993.
She was a member of the Effingham County Genealogical and Historical Society, the Effingham County Museum and an active member of the First Christian Church of Effingham.
Surviving is special cousin Pat Thomas (Gaylord) Loy of Effingham, Illinois; nieces Pam Morales of Florence, Arizona, Tamara Grigg of Long Grove Iowa, Lorrie Sutter of Tucson, Arizona, Terri Pritz of Goodyear, Arizona and Marla Rothas of Buckeye, Arizona
Pat’s children -Angie Monical and Roger Loy of Effingham. Kenneth’s nephews Keith Rush of Decatur and Dennis Rush of Denver, Colorado; his nieces Kelly Joseph of Indianapolis, Indiana and Lynda Kump of Butte, Montana.
She was preceded in death by husband Kenneth, parents, brother Earl McManaway who died in a truck accident August 23, 1968. Also, parents-in-law Pete and Hazel Rush, brothers-in-law Harold and Lee Rush and sisters-in-law Joyce McManaway, Betty and Alice Rush.
