SALEM — Teutopolis High School swept a baseball doubleheader Saturday against Salem.
The Wooden Shoes pounded the Wildcats by a 13-1 tally in the first game. T-town moved into a 5-0 lead in the first, then had a two-run third, scored a single run in the fourth and ended the game with five runs in the fifth.
Aiden Niemerg went the first four innings for the win on the mound. He gave up one run on one hit, walked three and registered eight strikeouts.
Niemerg aided his own cause with a single and two RBI while Kendal Mette had a single and three RBI. Eric Weidner and Bryce Niebrugge had a single and an RBI each and Austin Borries added an RBI.
In game two, T-town opened scoring in the third with a run and ended up finishing this game 11-0 in five innings.
Caleb Deters threw a one-hitter. He did not give up a walk and struck out six.
Niemerg had a double, triple and two RBI while Borries added a single, double and an RBI. Deters had two singles and an RBI, Jason Kreke a single and three RBI and Andy Lustig a single and an RBI. Nolan Schumacher added an RBI.
The Wooden Shoes are now 11-1 on the spring season. T-town returns to action Tuesday at Robinson.

At Pana
Dieterich split victories in two games Saturday.
The Maroons blanked Meridian by a 6-0 count. Dieterich held a 1-0 lead in the second then tacked on two in the fifth and three in the sixth.
They had a nine-hit attack. Ben Schottman led the way with three singles and an RBI. Gavin Meinhart and Alex Schottman finished with two singles each. Mason Lidy added a single and an RBI. Andrew Hall and Jackson Icenogle added an RBI each.
Icenogle went 6.2 innings, giving up three runs, three walks and striking out 10 for the pitching win.
Dieterich fell to Pana 14-8. The Panthers moved into a 5-0 lead in the second then had a nine-run third. Dieterich mounted a comeback but couldn’t make up 14 runs.
The Maroons had nine hits led by Dominic Ashley with two singles, a double and two RBI. Hall added two singles and an RBI and Schottman a single and three RBI.

North Clay blanked Marshall by a 10-0 count Saturday.
The Cardinals improved to 13-2 on the season and are back in action today against Wayne City in a 4:30 p.m. contest.
At Neoga
Tri-County Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland came calling and went home with a 6-4 victory over Neoga Saturday.
The two teams were tied at 2-2 after two innings. Tri-County moved ahead 3-2 in the third and 4-2 in the top of the fifth. Neoga came back in the bottom of the frame to tie the score.
But Tri-County had a two-run sixth for the victory.
Neoga outhit Tri-County by a 12-8 count but committed four errors.
Cayden Hakman led the way with two singles and a double. Malik Coy and Braydon Sparrow had three singles each. Coy added an RBI. Evan Fearday had a double and an RBI. Callen Lanham had two singles.
