 EHS Hands Paris, 6-3 Tennis Loss

Effingham High School played host to Paris and sent the Tigers home with a 6-3 tennis defeat Thursday.

The Hearts claimed four of the six singles matches. Rece Kinney was a 6-2, 4-6, 10-8 winner at the No. 1 spot. Cannon Bockhorn easily won at No. 2, 6-3, 6-1. Joel  Flack also handled his opponent, 6-4, 6-1. The final singles win came at No. 5 as Noah Jones went 6-3, 6-2 for the win.

In doubles play, Kinney and Bockhorn combined to take the No. 1 spot, 6-2, 6-2.

N. Jones and Cole Jones combined to pick up a hard-fought victory at No. 3. The two Jones players won the opening set 7-5 but Paris came back for the second set 7-5. Effingham then won the match 10-7.
