The Effingham Sunrise Rotary Club would like to share a highlight from their April 7th program.
The Club recently welcomed Deputy Chris Greuel, county school resource officer, along with his certified therapy dog, Deputy Dan. Since joining the schools in January 2024, Dan has played a key role in fostering positive relationships between students and law enforcement, using his friendly and approachable nature to create comfort and trust. Deputy Greuel shared his career journey from his upbringing on a family farm in Green Creek to his work in law enforcement, including time as a patrol deputy and detective, before stepping into his current role working closely with students.
