A DeSoto man has been sentenced in Effingham County Circuit Court to two years in prison.
32-year-old Jacob K. Scott pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon by a felon in exchange for the prison sentence. A charge of possession of methamphetamine was dismissed as part of the negotiated plea before Judge Bryan Kibler.
