Come celebrate a presidential tradition at Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site on Saturday, April 4th – rain or shine! The Lincolns will be hosting a traditional Egg Roll and Easter Egg Hunt (bring your own basket/bucket for gathering eggs); a fun craft for kids will be offered in the Visitor Center as well!
The Egg Hunt will begin at 1:00pm with staggered start times for each age group, so parents can accompany kids to each hunt (12 and under). The Egg Roll begins after the hunt, around 2:00 p.m.
The Goosenest Prairie Gift Shop will also be open for you to pick up those unique gifts you’ve been looking for, including many locally-sourced products and a great selection of items handcrafted by our talented volunteers!
Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site, a gateway site for the Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area, was the 1840s home of Abraham Lincoln’s father and stepmother, Thomas and Sarah Bush Lincoln. It is located eight miles south of Charleston and 14 miles southeast of Mattoon.
