The Effingham Sunrise Rotary Club recently welcomed Charlie Ring and Paris Van Dyke, owners of Effingham Axe Throwing, as guest speakers.
Proud graduates of the CEO Program, the couple purchased the business in October 2025 and officially reopened in November. They shared insight into the fast-growing recreational activity of axe throwing, including the use of cottonwood targets to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Effingham Axe Throwing offers private parties, corporate outings, and team-building experiences, with plans to launch a summer league in the coming months. The business is currently open Fridays from 5:00–9:00 PM and Saturdays from 3:00–10:00 PM. Guests are encouraged to book online at www.effinghamaxe.com to guarantee a lane. Charlie and Paris also highlighted their vision for future growth as they continue building a unique entertainment experience in Effingham.
