Josh Zink is leaving as the head boys basketball coach at North Clay High School.

“After a lot of thought and reflection, I have decided that this will be the right time for me to step down as head basketball coach at North Clay High School,” said Zink. “Serving as the head coach for the past nine years has truly been one of the greatest honors of my life. I’ve been blessed to coach so many outstanding young men and to work alongside great assistant coaches while representing our school and community.

“Together we experienced a lot of success and created many memories that I will always be grateful for. I firmly believe the program is in a very strong place, and the foundation that has been built will allow it to continue having success for many years to come. Because of that, I feel this is the right time for me to pass the reins and allow someone else to lead the program forward.

“I’m thankful to be able to step away on my own terms, and I want to express my appreciation to our administration, school board, and the entire Louisville community for the support they have shown me throughout the years. I have always fel supported!

“High school basketball will always be a passion of mine. As this chapter of coaching comes to an end, I look forward to more time with my family and am excited about future opportunities the game may bring. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in this unforgettable journey.”
