 Area Girls, Boys Named to Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-State Teams

The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association named the boys and girls All-State Basketball Teams.

Two area girls reached First Team status.

In Class 2A, Effingham High School’s Alyssa Martin, a senior, and Effingham St. Anthony’s Nancy Ruholl, also a senior, were named to the First Team.

Another Effingham High School player, Averie Wolfe, a senior, made the Second Team.

Special Mention went to Teutopolis High School’s Kelsey Niemerg, a senior, and Anna Probst, also a senior.

In Class 1A, named to the Second Team were Brownstown-St. Elmo’s Dayana Haslett, a junior and Cumberland’s Jude Miller, a sophomore.

Two more players were named to the Third Team and those included Cumberland’s Alyssa Dittaimore, a junior, and Brownstown/St. Elmo’s Madi Miller, a junior.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg’s Kendra Hayes, a junior, was named Special Mention.

On the boys side of the All-State Teams, Altamont High School’s Kade Milleville, a senior, was named to the Second Team.

Special Mention went to Cumberland’s Cameron Roedl, a junior, and North Clay’s Cody Zimdars, a senior.

Named to the Class 2A Special Mention Team were Effingham St. Anthony’s Keenan Griffith, a senior, and Teutopolis High School’s Gavin Addis, a senior.
