North Clay won its own volleyball regional Thursday.
LOUISVILLE — North Clay (Louisville) won its own Class 8-2A Volleyball Regional Thursday.
Dieterich captured the opening set 25-22 but North Clay came back with 25-12, 25-13 scores for the win.
Sportmanship pin recipients were Harper Casolari (North Clay) and Lydia Kreke (Dieterich).
St. Anthony fell to Morrisonville in the Class 8-2A Morrisonville Regional, 25-15, 25-10
North Clay and Morrisonville will now advance to play each other in the St. Anthony Sectional Monday at 6 p.m.
In the Class 1A Chrisman Scottland Regional, Stewardson-Strasburg fell to host Chrisman Scottland, 25-22, 25-19.
Chrisman Scottland advances to the Sigel St. Michael Sectional Monday and will take on host Sigel St. Michael at 6 p.m.
St. Michael had won the Class 8-1A Martinsville Regional Wednesday over host Martinsville.
Martinsville claimed the opener 26-24 but the Sharpshooters rallied and came back with 25-12, 25-22 scores for the match.
St. Michael sports a 17-8 record.
Lawrenceville Parkview won the championship of its own Class 8-3A Regional.
Parkview defeated Jasper County, 25-23, 25-15.
Parkview (23-0) will now head to the Teutopolis Sectional Monday to face Sullivan (14-7) at 6 p.m.
In the Class 8-4A Effingham Regional, Chatham Glenwood came out the champion.
Glenwood defeated Taylorville, 25-19, 25-19 and will play Monday at 6 p.m. against Quincy at the Rochester Sectional.

In the Class 7-1A State Tournament today, Altamont Lutheran faces Decatur Unity at 7 p.m.
Altamont Lutheran is 17-3 while Decatur Unity is 21-5.
In other matches, Cissna Park vs. LaSalle St. Acutis at 4:30 p.m., Ottawa Marquette vs. Peoria St. Jude at 5:45 p.m. and Hartsburg-Emden vs. Carrollton St. John at 8:15 p.m.
The winners meet Saturday at 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
The third place contest is at 2 p.m and the championship at 3:15 p.m. Saturday.
