 56th Annual SAA Banquet Set for Thursday Evening

The 56th Annual Society for Academic Achievement Banquet is set for Thursday evening.

The Banquet is sponsored by the Sunrise and Noon Rotary Clubs of Effingham, and will take place at the St. Anthony High School Multi-Purpose Room at 6:30pm.

The purpose of the SAA Awards is to give public recognition to the outstanding scholastic students of the two city high schools. The students are selected by the schools on the basis of good character and high scholarship achievement. Local entrepreneur Michael Brummer will serve as guest speaker.

Senior students being honored are Ronan Bailey, Audrey LaSarge, Laney Walker and Michael Wright of St. Anthony High School, and Abby Feldhake, Maximus Greenwood, Maggie Jenkins, Isabella Jones, Emma Newlin, Berkley Pullen, Reese Wendling and Averie Wolfe of Effingham High School.

Junior students being honored are Bailey Bohnhoff, Mara Braun, Helena Gebben, Jack Hartman, Maci Hayes, Leia Klein, Rece Kinney, Macy Kirk, Reagan Kreke, Ellyana Robison, Melia Wendling and Brady Wilson of Effingham High School, and Isaac Fallert, Gianna Frisbie, Holly Goldstein, Isabella Keller and Ava Miller of St. Anthony High School.

Sophomore students being honored are Camden Bloemer, Claire Kinkelaar, Cooper Sehy, Connor Storm and Isaac Tays of St. Anthony High School, and Gavin Davidson, Taylor Feldhake, Rowyn Frey, Luke Harper, Cole Jones, Keaton Kellams, Maci Lewis, Emily Loew, Alaina Miller, Nora Mitchell, Hunter Ring, Vincent Stoddard, Zander Sporleder, Allie Wendling, Eva Wendling and Lukas Wilson of Effingham High School.
