Beecher City school board members Monday approved a school calendar for 2026-27.
Things will get started with a Teachers Institute on August 12, with the first student attendance day on August 13.
The Board scheduled the 2025-26 graduation date for Saturday, May 9, at 2pm, and joined the IESA and IHSA for the coming school year.
Board members approved Herrmann Landscaping to complete dirt work and landscaping at the grade school as presented, renewed Teacher Ease for the coming school year and renewed EMS Linq for the school’s financial software. The Board also approved the parent and family engagement policy as presented.
Board members also approved the rehire of grade school administrator Heidi House for the coming school year and the rehire of high school principal Carrie Burks for the coming school year.
The Board also accepted the letter of resignation of Tanner Thompson as varsity basketball coach.
