Boy’s high school basketball super-sectionals were contested Monday evening.
In Class 1A action, in the super-sectional at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Lawrenceville was a 48-26 winner over LeRoy.
At Jacksonville Bowl, Goreville downed Jacksonville Routt, 60-43.
Chicago Marshall was a 45-31 winner over Indiana Creek at Joliet Central while Eastland edged Tremont, 47-45 at Macomb.
In Class 2A action: Quincy Notre Dame defeated Benton, 55-36 at the Carbondale Super-sectional while Farragut edged Crane Medical 49-47 at Joliet Central.
At Pontiac, Tolono Unity defeated Bishop McNamara, 77-70. The Sterling Sectional went to Chicago Manual over Johnsburg, 75-41.
In Class 3A, Chicago Leo defeated Hyde Park at Chicago UIC, 54-33 while Kaneland edged Morton, 49-47 at DeKalb NIU. Deerfield downed St. Francis 51-36 at Hoffman Estates and East St. Louis was a two-point winner over Decatur MacArthur, 51-49 at Springfield.
The Class 4A super-sectionals went to York over St. Ignatius 58-56 at Chicago UIC, Benet over Rockford Auburn at DeKalb NIU, DePaul downed Hersey 57-45 at Hoffman Estates NOW Arena and Marist edged Richwoods 56-53 at Normal ISU.
