Several area girls were named to All-State basketball teams.
Earning honors on the Class 1A State Team were:
Second Team — Dayana Haslett, a junior (Brownstown/St. Elmo) and Jude Miller, a sophomore (Cumberland)
Named to the Third Team were Alyssa Dittamore, a junior (Cumberland) and Madi Miller, a junior (Brownstown/St. Elmo)
Special Mention went to Kendra Hayes, a junior at Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg.
In Class 2A, Effingham’s Alyssa Martin, a senior, and Effingham St. Anthony’s Nancy Ruholl, a senior, were named to the First Team.
Named to the Second Team was Effingham’s Averie Wolfe, a senior.
Special Mention went to two Teutopolis players. Earning the honor were Kelsey Niemerg, a senior, and Anna Probst, also a senior.
