Members of the Effingham County Airport Commission are getting ready for Spring.
Commission members are waiting for good weather to resume work to extend the east-west runway and to complete work on a new hangar building. The members heard Wednesday that there is nothing new to report on an apron expansion project, either.
Effingham City Planner Greg Koester told Commission members about possible development of a solar energy farm southwest of the airport in the area of Dutch Lane. Officials will research whether the project might impact the airport.
