Maurice “Mauri” Stingle, 85, of Toledo, Illinois passed away at 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday February 11, 2026, at his residence.
Per his wishes Cremation Rites were accorded. The burial will be in the Berry Cemetery at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo is assisting the family.
Mauri was born on March 30, 1940, in Lafayette, Indiana to Paul Elliott and Lela Margaret (Sturgeon) Stingle. He married Wanda June Rich on February 19, 1995.
Survivors include his loving wife June, son Keith (Sheila) Stingle, stepdaughter Shirley (Lowell) Kingery, two grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and sister Arlene Blessing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Kelly Stingle, stepchildren Ronal “Eadie” Lee Beals and Carla Jean Jones, and three step grandchildren.
Mauri owned a mechanic and wrecker service in Williamsport, IN for many years. He also worked in the service department of General Motors in Okeechobee, FL. Mauri enjoyed working and wood working as a hobby in his spare time. He was a member of the Ash Grove Christian Church in Windsor.
