Effingham St. Anthony was a 55-30 winner over Casey-Westfield in freshman/sophomore boys basketball action Monday.
The Bulldogs ran out to a 22-12 opening quarter lead as Logan Gowin scored 10 points on four regular baskets and two three-pointers.
In the second quarter, the Bulldogs had a 12-4 run to lead 34-16 at halftime. Andrew Wagner scored six points on three baskets.
The Bulldogs finished with a 21-14 second half.
Two players finished in double figures for St. Anthony. Gowin led the way with six field goals, two three-pointers, for 14 and Charlie Bierman had 10.
