Roy Alan Milleville (63) of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Altamont

Roy Alan Milleville 63 years old of Kansas City, Missouri formerly of Altamont, Illinois went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully, on Wednesday January 28, 2026, after a short time at the VA Medical Hospital Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

A visitation will begin on Saturday morning February 14, 2026, for family and friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at the Kull Funeral Chapel, Altamont, Illinois. Funeral Services will be performed at 12:00 noon following the visitation with the American Legion Post #512 Chaplin Ralph Rounds officiating. US Army Military and Christian burial rites will be performed by the VFW Post 7676 and the American Post #512 at the St. Paul ELCA Lutheran Cemetery on the family lot, Altamont following the funeral services.

Roy was born in Decatur, Illinois, to Charles and Margaret (Swetland) Milleville on May 5, 1962. The family moved back to Altamont, IL shortly after his birth. While in Altamont Charles and Margare opened an electronics and electrical repair shop while Roy attended and graduated from Altamont High School. On October 31, 1979. Roy enlisted in the US Army in St. Louis, Missouri. This was the beginning of his military career. SS6 Milleville served for 12 years, 10 months and 24 days and was awarded normal decorations. Most proud of his overseas metals including Southwest Asia with 3 bronze stars, Kuwait Liberation, Parachute Badge, as well as many other achievement metals. Roy was part of conflicts of the Gulf War, NCO training, Mac Air Plan course, Jungle Training, Ranger course and Long-Range Survival Leader, as well as Air Assault and Airborne. He received his honorable discharge on September 29, 1992. After his medical discharge as a result of service in the Gulf War, Roy attended Kansas State University where he pursued a degree in architecture. While working construction jobs he specialized in finishing work. He moved to Kansas in 2001 and found a job at Union Pacific Railroad where he had a 23 year career as a conductor and train engineer.

Roy is survived by his wife Ana (Lopez) Milleville, whom he married on July 1, 2008, in Kansas City, Missouri. His daughter Tara Kathleen Milleville and significant other Micael Lilly also of Kansas City; his mother Margaret (Swetland) Milleville and his brother Michael Milleville both of Peoria, Illinois and several relatives in the Altamont Vandalia area.

Roy was preceded in death by his father Charles Welner Milleville in 1992, his still born son Forrest Milleville, his grandfather Wilmer “Jack” Milleville in 1994 and his grandmother Belva (Davis) Milleville in 1999.
