Members of the Effingham City/County Enterprise Zone Board Wednesday reviewed 37 projects begun in the zone during 2025.
The 37 projects involved investments totaling $56,557,226, and the addition of 42 jobs. 17 of the projects were residential including 12 single family homes and three multi family projects. The multi family projects added 33 apartment units and four town homes, totaling 49 new residential dwelling units in the zone, including single and multi family.
Three new businesses did projects within the Enterprise Zone boundaries including J&H Liquor, Northside Quick and Clean, and Diamond Blade Barber.
Enterprise Zone Administrator Sasha Althoff also reviewed the projects located in the Zone since the last meeting of the Board. They include the Fritz Krampe building that was formerly an ice building, Premier Broadcasting, the parking lot at Thelma Keller Convention Center, the Siemer Milling B-Mill, Wright at Home Interiors, and a remodel of the Dieterich Bank headquarters.
