Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) hospitals in Illinois have announced the top names chosen for babies born last year at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial in Effingham, HSHS St. John’s in Springfield, and HSHS St. Francis in Litchfield. Over 3,350 babies were delivered at these three central Illinois hospitals in 2025.

HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Springfield
Top Boy Name: Oliver
Top Girl Name: Charlotte
HSHS St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield
Top Boy Names: Waylon
Top Girl Names: Kinsley and Paisley (tied)
Across the Illinois and Wisconsin hospitals within the Hospital Sisters Health System, Oliver and Charlotte were the most popular names chosen among the over 6,200 babies born in 2025.
Additionally, July was the most common birth month across the system, followed closely by September.
