Monte and Shirley Bartels were the guest speakers at the January 7 meeting of the Effingham Noon Rotary Club.
The Bartels lead a ministry in the Central American nation of Costa Rica. That ministry was the subject of their presentation. However, a bonus was Monte serenading his wife with a love song he wrote for her.

The weekly student guest was D.J. Latham. D.J. is the son of Jere and Danny Latham and is a senior at Effingham High School. He plans to play football in college while pursuing Photography.
