Dieterich school board members Monday took time to recognize the district’s 8th grade girls basketball team that placed fourth at the recent 2A state tournament.

Misty Lindeman from OPAA! Food Service gave a presentation on the food service program at Dieterich. Lindeman updated the Board on the new menu items, participation rates, special events, and Grab and Go Breakfast.

The Board granted access to the school district logos to Sweet Corn Ventures and Roadrunner Refuel to place on merchandise. A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to the school. The Board also officially recognized junior high trap as an activity.

Elementary Principal Josh Benefiel highlighted progress monitoring scores showing the academic progress being made by elementary students at Dieterich.

Junior/Senior High School Principal Mike McCollum updated the Board on work the junior/senior high school staff completed on the latest Teacher Institute Day. Progress was made on curriculum mapping, course descriptions, and handbook changes.

In personnel moves, the Dieterich board accepted the resignation from Rebekah Repking as junior high and high school assistant cross country coach, and approved a leave of absence for certified employee Nicole Field, consisting of four personal days and two dock days.
