Effingham was a winner in junior high volleyball action Monday evening against Teutopolis.
The Mustangs won the seventh-grade match in three sets. They took the opener 25-18 before Taylorville came back with a 25-18 victory. EJHS then won the match 25-19.
Sophia Wiedman and Alivia Lauritzen led in kills with six each. Wiedman had 10 aces and one block. Rosie Schmidt led with nine assists. Anna Gouchenouer led in digs with 10.
In eighth-grade action, the Mustangs won 25-18, 25-12. Miley Wilson led in kills with six, Arabella Barnhart led in aces with seven, Kenley Moore had 11 assists and three digs, Jade McGee had three digs and MacKynzie Hites, Faith DeLoach and Kendyl Smith had one block each.

Sigel St. Michael claimed a two-set victory over Windsor Monday.
The Sharpshooters won in the seventh-grade match, 25-11, 25-11.
Laney Barnard led Windsor with 13 aces.
In eighth-grade play, St. Michael was a winner 25-22, 25-23.
Briley Rincker led Windsor with three aces and Briley Rincker and Miranda Corrie had three kills each.
