St. Anthony and Teutopolis were winners in the St. Anthony freshman/sophomore boys basketball tournament Monday evening.
St. Anthony handed Dieterich a 52-35 loss. The Buldogs ran out to a 22-4 opening quarter lead and never looked back.
Charlie Bierman hit nine points in that opening quarter run while Logan Gowin, Andrew Wagner and Charlie Hoene put in a three-pointer each for the Bulldogs.
Bierman ended up with 11 points to lead the way while Gowin and Hoene added nine each.
Dieterich wa led by McQueen with 12 points and Bierman with nine.
Teutopolis was a 72-18 winner over Altamont. No other statistics were available.
