(THE EFFINGHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT ENGINE THAT WAS USED TO GET AN INJURED WORKER OFF THE ROOF AT THE EFFINGHAM KOHL’S DEPARTMENT STORE FRIDAY)
A man was injured early Friday afternoon while working on solar panels on the roof of Kohl’s Department Store.
The man was part of a crew. The solar panels flashed and the man’s eyes were injured.
The Effingham Fire Department responded to the scene and used the ladder truck to move the man off the roof and to a Rural Med EMS ambulance.
The injured man is not believed to live locally, but instead is thought to be from Indiana.
