CHARLESTON — Effingham St. Anthony defeated Charleston 43-30 in freshman/sophomore boys basketball Saturday.

The two teams were tied at 7-7 after the first quarter. St. Anthony moved into a 21-12 halftime lead.

Nine players scored for the Bulldogs. Logan Gowin and Curtis Tingley led the way with nine points each.
