 Kinman, Mietzner Honored w/Regional RFL Awards

The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Effingham County is proud to announce that two local nominees were honored at the recent North Region Recognition Event, celebrating outstanding volunteers across 17 states.

Becky Kinman, a longtime dedicated Relayer, was nominated for Relayer of the Year, recognizing her exceptional commitment, leadership, and passion for the American Cancer Society’s mission. Becky’s unwavering support and constant drive to make a difference have inspired countless participants and strengthened the Relay For Life community.

In addition, The Tumornators – Cindy’s Team whose Team Captain is Ron Mietzner received a nomination for Relay For Life Team of the Year. This team has demonstrated extraordinary fundraising success, community engagement, and heartfelt dedication to honoring those affected by cancer. Their impact has been felt deeply throughout Effingham County and beyond.

“We are incredibly proud to have Effingham County represented at the regional level,” said Stephanie Norris, American Cancer Society Sr. Development Manager. “These nominations are a testament to the hard work and passion our volunteers bring to the fight against cancer. Becky and Ron are so deserving of this recognition.”
