Dieterich village board members are sponsoring a Christmas lighting contest.
The first place finisher will receive a free month’s worth of utilities, second place will get 75% off their bill, and the third place finisher will receive 50% off.
Those wishing to be judged should have their lights on December 17th between 5 and 9pm.
The Board decided to continue meeting on the first and third Mondays. They discussed the draft tax levy ordinance with a vote on the measure at their December 15th meeting.
Board members also granted holiday pay for their Zoning Board members and for regular village employees.
