The Effingham banking team from First National Bank of Waterloo conducted their annual “Cookie Drop” when the Effingham Police Department, Effingham Fire Department, and RuralMed EMS are showered with cookies and bags of candies.
The First National Bank of Waterloo makes this gesture each year as a way of saying “Thanks” to those who run to danger to protect the rest of us and our property.

“Banks have a special awareness of the value of police presence and other emergency services,” said Jeff Bloemker, president of the bank’s Effingham market. “Our first responders in the Effingham region as as good as they come.”

First National Bank of Waterloo has over $900 million in total assets and 16 banking centers in Central and Southern Illinois. In addition to the Effingham location, the bank has an area location in Stewardson.
