Samuel Steven “Steve” Wilson, 64, of Willow Hill, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana, with his daughters by his side.

Born on January 21, 1961, in Arlington Heights, Illinois, Steve was the son of Floyd and Shirley Wilson. He was a proud union painter who took great pride in his work and the relationships he built along the way. Steve was a talented cook who loved feeding the people he cared about. He was known for his famous potato salad, his love of grilling out, and the joy he found in bringing everyone together around good food. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles, fishing, tending his garden, and spoiling every pet that came into his life. His sharp, sarcastic sense of humor stayed with him until the very end. Most of all, Steve practiced unconditional love and was always willing to help anyone he could.

He is survived by his daughters, Sayeh Naddaf (Issac) of Hohenwald, TN, and Stephanie Wilson of Willow Hill, IL; his son, Joseph W. Wilson of Olney, IL; and Sue Wilson of Olney, IL (Joseph’s
mom). He is also survived by his brother Paul Wilson (Lori) of Holiday Hills, IL; his sister Lori Kay Rios (Rich) of Willow Hill, IL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends his considered
family.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Shirley Wilson, his brothers Jeffrey Wilson, Darrel “Tubie” Wilson, Michael Wilson, and Todd Wilson, his sister Peggy Wilson; Julie
Campbell (the mother of Stephanie and Sayeh); and his granddaughter Aiya Capps.

Steve lived with a big heart, a quick wit, and a genuine devotion to the people he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
