Effingham Water Authority trustees heard from Attorney Kyle Boose at this month’s meeting regarding the franchise agreement with Wabash Communications. Wabash agreed to the negotiations at the October meeting.
The Board heard from Tom Ryan of the Parks and Rec Committee that the Kiwanis Club would like to sponsor the “Return of the Captain”. Club members would sponsor the annual event for five years at $500/year and provide five people to assist at the event.
Ryan also shared that the Water Authority has completed their portion of the initial work for the beach improvement. They have met with Elevate Excavating and dirt moving has begun.
