A Vandalia murder suspect will be examined as to his fitness to stand trial.
43-year-old Arnold Rivera, Jr. is being held on counts including first degree murder, aggravated criminal sexual assault and concealing homicidal death. Rivera is charged in the November 14th death of 14-year-old Kylie Toberman.
Vandalia police received a report that Toberman was missing. Her body was located later the day she was reported missing.
Rivera’s evaluation is due back on January 27.
