MADISON, Wis. – No. 21 Illinois fell to Wisconsin, 27-10, on Saturday evening at Camp Randall Stadium.
Luke Altmyer threw for 248 yards, while rushing for the Illini’s lone touchdown of the day, his fourth this season and the 12th of his career. Collin Dixon had a team-best 62 receiving yards.
Gabe Jacas led the Illini defense with two sacks, moving him into sole possession of No. 2 on the Illini’s all-time list with 25.0 for his career. He trails only Illini career leader Simeon Rice (44.5 from 1992-95).
All three of Wisconsin’s touchdowns came on the ground, including the first from Vinny Anthony II and two from Darrion Dupree. Dupree paced the Badgers with 131 rushing yards.
Illinois returns to Gies Memorial Stadium next Saturday (Nov. 29), for its final game of the regular season against Northwestern. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT on FOX.
