Effingham split junior high girls basketball victories with Robinson Nuttall Tuesday evening.
The Mustangs fell in the seventh-grade contest 34-26.
Nuttall went out to a 14-10 opening quarter lead and led 18-15 at halftime. Nuttall then had a 16-11 second half.
Effingham was led in scoring by Nala Hardiman with 14 points.
In eighth-grade play, Effingham won 35-21. The Mustangs held a 17-13 halftime lead then had a 12-8 third period and held Robinson Nuttall scoreless in the final quarter.
Cloie Bailey led the Mustangs in scoring with 16 points.

Effingham St. Anthony won over North Clay 52-26.
