The Neoga school board continues to make repairs in the wake of the tornado that did so much damage to district buildings.
The Board approved emergency building repairs to be contracted through K. Wohltman Construction of Effingham for the junior/senior high school, and named K. Wohltman Construction as the construction manager. Health and life safety amendments were approved for the Neoga Unit office and Neoga Elementary School. The Board also approved submission of a state maintenance grant to cover work at the elementary building, including the bathrooms, locker rooms, and the office.
Board members approved the tentative tax levy and set a hearing on the levy for the December meeting. The Board also approved the purchase of track equipment, and approved a Unit office electrical upgrade.
In personnel moves, the Neoga board accepted Mercedes Peters’ resignation as high school volleyball coach, and approved maternity leaves for Jayme Petty and Miranda Potter.
