Darrell was born on April 22, 1958, in Effingham, IL, the son of Kenneth and Betty Arnold. He attended a day program at Community Support Systems for over 45 years. He enjoyed the art program and created many beautiful paintings for their annual Art Auction. He loved people and enjoyed socializing with his friends and staff members there. After his parents’ passing, he moved to a CSS group home. He had a fascination for aquariums and loved watching and caring for his fish at the home. He also loved decorating for every season, and you could always find his room ready for the holidays. One of his greatest passions was music. For many years, he attended the Fourth Street Church of Christ, where he will always be remembered for his beautiful singing voice. He also loved playing his keyboard for family and friends. He had many nieces and nephews who were very musically talented, and he loved listening to them perform. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family to enjoy a good meal and lots of laughter. He was such a kind and gentle soul who will greatly be missed by all who knew him.

Darrell is survived by his siblings, Rita (Mark) Miller, Karen (Gary) Buehnerkemper, Diane Arnold, and Kevin Arnold; and uncle, Delmar (Gloria) Brunk; and many nieces and nephews.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Betty Arnold; nephew, Steve Arnold; niece, Rachel Pace; and great-nephew, Christian Beckler.
