SIGEL — Dieterich and Sigel St. Michael split victories in junior high girls basketball competition Tuesday evening.
St. Michael was a winner in the seventh-grade contest, 27-17. The Sharpshooters held a 10-8 first half lead then had a 13-7 third quarter run.
Dieterich was led by Ali Koester with six points, nine rebounds and two blocked shots. Koester, Kambryn Mellendorf and Emily Niemerg finished with four steals each. Alivia Icenogle had two assists.
In eighth-grade play, Dieterich claimed a 43-34 victory. Dieterich held a 16-12 halftime.
Lydia Kreke led in scoring with 13 while Mackenzie Roedl added 10. Kreke pulled down eight rebounds and Mya Ohnesorge seven. Mackenzie Roeld led in assists with three. Emma Williams had two steals.

At Villa Grove
In an eighth-grade only contest, Neoga pulled out a 36-33 victory over Villa Grove Tuesday.
Villa Grove moved ahead 6-5 in the opening quarter but Neoga moved into a 20-18 halftime lead.
Villa Grove came back with an 11-8 run to pull ahead 29-28. Neoga came back to knot the score at 33-33, sending the contest into overtime.
In the overtime period, Neoga hit three throws while holding Villa Grove scoreless to pull out the win.
N. Hartke scored 13 while Bear added 11 for Neoga.
