Daniel P. “Danny” Williams, 77, of rural Stewardson, Illinois passed away Monday October 27, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 14, 1948 in East St. Louis, Illinois the son of Paul L. and K. Marie (Kuster) Williams. Danny married Diana Moffitt, February 22, 1969 in Neoga, Illinois they were married for 56 years. Danny was a retired welder from Blaw Knox in Mattoon, Illinois. He also worked at Tub-Lok and Trailmobile. Mr. Williams proudly served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Danny enjoyed working on classic cars, hunting and spending time with his family. Mr. Williams was a member of the Gaskill Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge in Toledo, Illinois; and Shriners International.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Williams of rural Stewardson, Illinois; sons, Aaron (Tracy) Williams of Mattoon, Illinois and Andy (Jamie) Williams of Charleston, Illinois; grandchildren, Madelyn Williams, Hannah (Ryland) Shriver, Faith Alvis; brother, Delbert (Debbie) Williams of Neoga, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Michael Williams.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 30, 2025 in the Swengel – O’Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, Illinois. A Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday October 29, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with Masonic Services by the Toledo Masonic Lodge at 8:00 PM also in the funeral home. Burial with Military Services by the Neoga American Legion will follow in the Swedish Lutheran Cemetery in rural Stewardson.
