A local woman was injured in a crash in West Township Sunday evening.
The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened at 6pm on 300th Street, about a half mile south of 500th Avenue. The driver, 36-year-old Leily Ramirez Ochoa of Effingham, lost control of the vehicle, which went off the road to the right. The vehicle traveled through the ditch for about a quarter-mile before coming back onto the roadway near the intersection with 500th Avenue.
Ramirez Ochoa was taken by Rural Med EMS to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
