Effingham St. Anthony High School has new girls basketball coaches.
“We are pleased and excited to announce that Bart Wiedman has accepted the varsity girls basketball coaching position,” said St. Anthony Athletic Director Kevin Palmer. “Craig Carr has accepted the assistant position. Some of you will know Coach Wiedman as he was in this position for many years before our current coach and is currently teaching at the grade school.
“Coach Carr has also had a couple stints at St. Anthony as both a teacher and most recently the Guidance Counselor before our current counselor. Coach Carr has also coached several sports at St. Anthony.
“We would like to thank Aaron and Stacey Rios, our current coaches, who recently resigned, for all their contributions and successes with the program. We wish them luck with their future endeavors.”
