The Effingham High School soccer team won the Apollo Conference championship for the first time in school history Saturday.
The Hearts finished with a conference record of 7-1 with two ties.

Altamont shut out Pana 3-0.
An Ashton Buchanan about 15 minutes in put Altamont in front then Juan Fulk and Caleb Overton combined on a goal to lead 2-0 at the half. Cooper Pals found the back of the net on a rebound to finish the scoring.
