State Representative Brad Halbrook has announced the transportation improvement projects for the 107th District during the coming fiscal year.
Halbrook said, “I will continue to ensure downstate Illinois receives its fair share of investments. Safe and reliable infrastructure is not a luxury–it’s a necessity.”
Through 2031, $362,680,000 will be invested in 108 different projects covering over 187 miles of road in the district. The program spans several counties as well as main roadways, such as I-57 and I-70, US 45, Fayette Avenue in Effingham, and other side streets. Key projects that will be completed include bridge reconstruction and preservation, pavement rehabilitation and reconstruction, and initial construction of new roads.
