Effingham Park Board commissioners Monday voted to resurface the tennis courts at Community Park.

The work is estimated to cost $169,000, and they anticipate doing that work this fall.

Board members got an update from Hilary Kopplin on this year’s program results.

There were 667 kids in baseball, 316 in spring soccer, 175 in flag football, and 1478 kids in Adventure Camp.

The Park District generated $34,000 in signage sponsorship.

Board members also met Phil Lading, who has served as Park District attorney in the months since the retirement of Tony Siemer.
