Effingham St Anthony participated in the Bloomington Purple/Gold Tennis Tournament during the weekend.
Mia Kinkelaar and Ellie Link finished second in No. 1 doubles play. Liv Hoene and Nora Trupiano finished fourth in No. 2 doubles.
In singles action, Trupiano took second at the No. 4 singles while Ellie Link was third at No. 3 singles.
Libertyville won the team championship with 75 points followed by Batavia 48, Normal Community 45, Moline 43, Danville 37 and St. Anthony 34. Other schools included Normal University, Carbondale, LaSalle Peru, Springfield, Bloomington, Bloomington Central Catholic and Normal West.
“It was a great tournament full of talented tennis athletes,” said St. Anthony Coach Darlene Esker.
